Toronto Writing Workshops
Something magical happens when writers gather in a room together. Nest & Story offers writing workshops in Toronto to jumpstart your creativity, improve your craft, and help you build genuine connections with other writers in a fun, positive environment. Whether you're looking for a long-term writing group or a one-day writing workshop, there's something here for you. <3
This monthly workshop combines reading classic feminist novels with fun prompts and writing assignments. Consider it literary self-care -- whether you're reading these books for the first time or cozying up with old favourites, there's nothing like a feminist novel to lift your spirits and light your creative spark.
Join writer Jaclyn Desforges and tech wizard Maeve Gallagher for a half-day workshop on creating a blog that reflects your authentic self. You'll leave this workshop with valuable handouts, brand-sparkly-new writing that's all your own, as well as the know-how and confidence to launch (or refresh) a blog on Wordpress or Squarespace. Plus, you get lunch!
Being more mindful and present in your everyday life can help you capture those visceral, tangible details that make writing powerful. In this workshop, you'll learn how to incorporate mindfulness into your personal writing practice to take your work to the next level. You'll also receive delicious snacks, tea, and the delightful company of other creative people such as yourself!
A full-day creative writing retreat dedicated to helping you relax, recharge and reconnect with your writing practice. This is a time to check in with your creative self and tend to the writing project that's been occupying your mind. You'll get a ton of writing done and meet like-minded writers. Plus, you get lunch. What could be better?
