Manuscripts & Mimosas - December 15 2019

Writing solo is great, but sometimes you need a second (or third or fourth or fifth) pair of eyes on your work. This small-group workshop is dedicated to manuscript review — bring in six copies of a piece of writing and the group will provide honest, kind and productive feedback. We’ll also discuss publication, career planning and the writing life.

  • A game plan for making your piece of writing even stronger

  • A slight buzz from the best mimosas ever

  • New Hamilton writing friends

  • A smile on your face and a skip in your step

What people are saying:

“I thought I would have some fun writing. I did not expect to drive home in a stunned state, on the verge of weeping with gratitude that creative writing is allowed in my life, as a goddamn career — legitimately! Holy f***k! I am alive!”

— Colleen

“I loved gathering together for ‘writing church.’ It was a safe place to take risks and explore my creative side.”

— Susan

“Jaclyn is amazing. She creates a sacred writing space.”

— Pashana

“This was exactly what I was hoping for — a place with kind, intelligent, engaged people in a comfy space. Jaclyn provides prompts to help facilitate creative inspiration, and she does it really well! She has a gentle, inclusive approach to helping you bring out the writer in you.”

— Brigitte
